Add one scv wick to each votive mold and pour into votive molds to within 1/4" of top. Keep back 1/2 cup for refilling shrinkage. Let sit until wax creates a "skin" -approx. 3-5 minutes, then move the wick from side to side to release any air bubbles. Let sit until completely cool approx. 3 hour. Reheat the wax kept back at the initial pouring. Centre wick if necessary. Top votives until full and slightly rounded. Allow to cool thoroughly. Centre wick if necessary. Fill pillar to original fill line. Allow to cool thoroughly.
Burning Instructions
Caution: Failure to follow instructions could result in fire hazard, injury or smoke damage.
Keep wick centered and trimmed to ¼" to prevent smoking and soot build up. Periodically extinguish and retrim during usage. If flame is large, trim wick. If flame is struggling, pour off excess wax.
For Containers- Burn until wax is liquid to edge of container but no more than 4 hours at a time. Allow wax to harden before relighting. Discontinue use when only ½" of wax remains in bottom. Never close the lid on a burning candle. Do not allow the flame to touch the container. Keep wick centered.
For Pillars-For best results, burn until wax pool is to the edge of candle, usually one hour for every inch in diameter. Burn only on a suitable holder. To prevent dripping and contain wax pool, hand form top edges in toward centre while wax is warm and pliable.
For Votives-This candle will become liquid. Burn in a tight fitting votive holder. Never burn on a pick style holder.
General Tips:
Always burn on a stable, heat resistant surface.
Keep out of drafts and away from flammable material.
Do not move while hot.
Keep wax pool free from foreign objects.
Never leave a burning candle unattended or within the reach of children or pets.
Use this chart as a guide when using our jars, wax and wick. These are suggestions and work well for us. You should still test burn your candles as fragrance load and dye may cause different burning results.
